What is your hard drive formatted to? If it is NTFS, it will only read the Wii games. You can use a PC program Ease Us partition manager to format the HDD to FAT32 with 32K cluster size, and it should read wii and gamecube games. It is a 30 day trial, so format it as soon as you download it. Just have a 'wbfs' folder for Wii games (obviously in wbfs format), and a folder named 'games' (don't use quotations obviously) for gamecube, both folders should be on the root of the HDD.For Gamecube games: Inside the 'games' folder, create folders with the name of the game you're putting on it, and drag the games iso into it. Make sure to rename the iso file 'game', and if it's a.gcm file name it 'game.iso'.

I'm using the Nintendont app which I added to the app folder on my SD card. I then booted into GX loader and changed the GC loader setting so that it uses Nintendont.Beyond that I've not done anything special. When I boot up GX loader or Nintendont with the USB flash drive loaded with a GC ISO it works and loads it fine and plays without issues. If I do the above but with the USB HDD I get launch errors. Just away from my Wii ATM but will get the exact error message when I get home:).
